CATCH CAN OVERVIEW
When properly designed, an oil catch can will prevent sludge buildup in the intake, intercooler, throttle body, etc. They effectively raise fuel octane and increase engine performance with cleaner inlet air. Also, excessive oil collection can be an indicator of a damaged engine. Furthermore, they lower hydrocarbon emissions.

NOTES:
1. Depending on the PCV system design, some engines may require multiple catch cans.
2. Catch cans are NOT designed to be used with aftermarket crankcase vacuum pumps.

RADIUM CATCH CAN FEATURES
These catch cans are used in Radium Engineering application-specific catch can kits. They are machined from solid6061 aluminum. The 2 halves and all ports are O-ring sealed, thus safe for pressurized (forced induction) applications. The main inlet and outlet ports are 10AN ORB (7/8″-14) female threads.The integrated M8x1.25mm threaded dipstick (shown below) unscrews for a quick way to check oil level.

These catch cans feature advanced air/oil separation. As shown below, there is an integrated stainless steel baffle plate.

This is a secondary baffle that prevents contaminants from exiting the catch can. Additionally, there are 2 internal stainless steel air/oil separators. One on the inlet and one on the outlet. These are easily washable and can be reused.

RADIUM CATCH CAN SERVICING
These catch cans feature Radium Engineering’s patent pending Fluid Lock technology. If the catch can fills up and is not emptied, an internal valve closes and eliminates the contaminants from exiting the catch can and entering the engine. Furthermore, it maintains normal venting through the catch can prohibiting engine damage.

For draining, there are a couple options depending on the application. If there is space, the lower half of the body that holds all of the contaminants simply unscrews. However, if there is no room to remove the lower half of the catch can, there is a4AN ORB (7/16″-20) female threaded drain port.A 4AN ORB plug (shown below) is provided.
