The KONIG F1M is a FORGED, mesh design, that has been drastically optimized for increased rigidity, extensive weight savings as well as its increased ability to withstand fatigue. All of this is a result of DECADES of proven motorsport feedback and experience.

The F1M delivers increased tensile strength that exceeds our Flow Formed wheel line up and is the perfect graduation if you want to make that jump!

Konig forged wheels are built by a group of enthusiasts with the desire to make the best wheels possible for other fellow car enthusiasts.

Initial offerings will start in 17″, 18″ and 19″ inch diameters with widths climbing up to 12.5″, wide. Every wheel comes with an aluminum o-ring center cap, is finished in Ash Silver or Matte Black. Knurled bead seats come standard to prevent tire slip in high torque applications.

The F1M is a clean and timeless mesh design. However, that’s only part of the story…lets look closer!

Starting at the PCD lets travel up the spoke toward the outer edge of the wheel. The spoke base is elegant & ample while its sides have a precisely placed raised web that translates stress around the window melting into both the drop-center flange and the lip of the wheel.

As the spokes fork in opposing directions they radius into the outer “C” channel flange which increases the rigidity of the outer wheel edge.

Every cut, radius, fillet, chamfer, angle and shape are all intentionally placed to shave away aluminum where it isn’t needed, reduce weight and improve the fatigue strength by reducing stress concentrations. All of this is found and confirmed using state of the art Finite Element Analysis.

FEA Analysis

Utilizing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and advanced engineering simulation software we push every wheel design through countless variations of impact, bending and stress, simulations to optimize wheel weight, increase strength and rigidity and reinforce high-stress areas. FEA allows us to do hundreds of minor adjustments and simulations before we even get to the physical tests.

Concavity Profile

Traditional wheel designs often struggle to accommodate larger brake setups, especially on performance-oriented vehicles. Konig Forged wheels address this by utilizing size-specific concavity profiles. By strategically dishing the center section, we create ample clearance for big brake kits without compromising the wheel’s overall design. This ensures optimal braking performance without resorting to spacers, which can introduce fitment issues and affect handling. Konig Forged wheels come in a wide range of sizes, from 17×9 to 19×12.5, with PCDs ranging from 4×100 to 5×130.

Knurled Bead Seat

Konig forged wheels incorporate knurled bead seating, a design feature that enhances the tire-to-wheel interface. This textured surface optimizes grip and minimizes tire slippage during high-performance maneuvers, promoting precise handling and driver confidence.
